• Health Sciences – Teaches skills ranging from laboratory procedures to administrating financial aspects related to health insurance. Study programs include
• Medical Assistant – Training occurs in a simulated real-world setting. Students learn to perform a variety of administrative tasks and laboratory procedures.
• Phlebotomy – Students are trained to draw blood, take vital signs, perform blood testing procedures and also with patient preparation.
• Medical Administrative Assistant/Coding and Billing – Offers training for a baseline of capabilities including admitting patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining charts and other tasks. Hands-on learning is emphasized. Students also learn the financial and insurance aspects of medical offices and the medical codes required to translate a physician's diagnosis.
• Spa and Cosmetology – The Massage Therapy and Bodyworks Technology Program is designed to provide an essential foundation in massage therapy. Hands-on training in a variety of massage techniques is included. The program also offers training in anatomy, physiology, pathology and reflexology.
• Business and Information Technology (IT) – These programs are targeted at readying students for work in finance, commerce, industry and government. Programs include:
• Business Management – Includes hands-on learning with computer software applications, such as Microsoft Word, Access and Excel. The program also provides training in accounting, team building, information processing technologies and communications.
• Network Communications and Information Systems Program – Offers program concentrations in Microsoft systems, Linux operating systems, security and specialized support. The program emphasizes hands-on learning.
• Criminal Justice – The program includes a thorough review of the criminal justice system and private security.
