Academic Programs

  • Medical Assistant program - Provides thorough training in administrative and clinical duties for physician's offices, hospital offices, home care agencies, rehabilitation centers and managed care organizations. Students are also trained to assist physicians during an examination. Graduates can take a national examination to become a registered medical assistant through the American Medical Technologists Association.
  • Medical Billing and Coding program - Covers basic bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable, CPT coding, ICD-9-CM, workers compensation, diagnostic related groups and managed care systems. The program also reviews government and private insurance procedures.
  • Patient Care Technician - Provides the fundamentals of nursing. Students learn to provide basic nursing care at the technician level. The program also covers the techniques of performing electrocardiograms and drawing blood. A review of anatomy and physiology is also included. Graduates are eligible to take the examination to be a certified nurse assistant in Missouri.
  • Pharmacy Technicians program - Students are trained to prepare and fill prescriptions, label and store supplies, prepare IV solutions and perform other tasks.
