About the School

Stevens-Henager College was established in 1891 as the Intermountain Business College. The institution provides various fast-track master's, bachelor's and occupational associate degree programs in technology, healthcare, graphics arts and business. Online programs are also available. In addition, students are allowed to challenge courses by passing an examination. Passing the test earns school credit.

Academic Programs

• Healthcare – Offers nursing degrees, including an associate for those seeking to become a Registered Nurse (RN) and bachelor's and master's programs for nurses seeking to advance their careers. The healthcare administration programs provide a blend of business and clinical skills. Included studies are healthcare policy and economics, healthcare finance, accounting, insurance and healthcare reimbursement, HMO management, long-term care administration and other topics. Other study options include respiratory therapy, surgical technology, and a range of medical specialties such as those in medical assisting, X-Ray, lab technicians, EMT, medical coding and billing, phlebotomy, massage therapy, and more.
• Accounting – Offers a broad understanding of financial and business issues and how they relate to accounting. The program offers numerous topics including tax accounting, principles of auditing, computerized accounting, managerial accounting and internet commerce.
• Business Administration – Provides a strong foundation in the areas of operations management, banking and finance, accounting, human resource management and sales and marketing. The curriculum reviews how economic and business issues relate to the domestic and the world's economy.
• Computer Programming – Prepares students for entry-level jobs in database design and administration, software application development and internet programming.
• Computer Technology and Networking – The program offers training in network administration, telecommunications, network engineering, computer applications, computer networking and other subjects.
• Graphic Arts – Emphasizes artistic creativity, computer skills and business concepts. Web page design, Javascript, desktop publishing, Adobe Photoshop, digital video and other topics are included. An Apple computer laptop is provided to students that may be kept after graduation.
