About the School

Suburban Technical School offers a career-oriented Medical Assistant Program. The facility includes medical and computer labs, lecture rooms, a students lounge and a library. The students have the opportunity to acquire experience in a real-world setting internship. Suburban Technical School is owned by the Premier Education Group.

Suburban Technical School Academic Program

The Medical Assistant Training Program trains students to prepare patients for examinations, operate various types of medical equipment and perform venipuncture. Training is also provided in tasks such as taking and mounting an EKG, preparing insurance forms, producing medical case histories and performing various diagnostic laboratory procedures. The program emphasizes practical learning.

Student Life

The vast majority of the students attend the school on a full-time basis. The Graduates Services Department helps graduates find entry-level positions. Interviewing techniques and assistance with creating a resume are also provided. Graduates may take refresher sessions, and use the labs and resource centers. Alumni may also come back to the school at anytime for career consultations.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Applicants without a high school diploma or a GED certificate must achieve a satisfactory grade on an entrance aptitude test. Regarding financial assistance, federal and state financial aid are available for eligible students.
