Studying Associates Of Applied Sciences Degree In Multimedia (Completed) And Bachelor's Degree In Game Design (Incomplete)

• 8/29/2011
"I am not at all satisfied with my education from ITT Tech in Henderson, Nevada. I would have done better to attend community college."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | no | ITT Tech in Henderson, Nevada is a complete waste of time and money. I would recommend any other school over it. |
| School Reputation | 5 | Somehow ITT Tech keeps a good reputation. Perhaps my school is not representative of all ITT Tech campuses. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 1 | The associates degree in multimedia was extremely basic and barely meets the requirements of any job within the field. The bachelors degree in game design was a complete joke. There was only one instructor for all of the core curriculum classes and he was so easily distracted by the underachieving portion of the student body that we spent the majority of every class listening to discussions of their World of Warcraft characters. It should be noted that the instructor was an english literature graduate with no practical knowledge of game design. |
| Instruction | 1 | For the multimedia associates degree, the curriculum was the bare minimum. In my experience, nothing I learned from the school really prepared me for a career within the field. For the game design bachelors degree, the school was completely lacking in any relevant curriculum or qualified staff to prepare anyone for a career in this field. |
| Cost | 1 | For the amount of money I paid (am paying), I expected an intense curriculum that would make me a top candidate for any career in my field. Instead I received a below mediocre education at the same cost as the best schools in the nation. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 5 | For the associates degree in multimedia, the schedule was extremely flexible with both day and night classes and multiple days for each class within the week. For the bachelor's degree, a limited number of enrolled students made class scheduling much more difficult and limited. |
| Academic Facilities | 1 | For my degree programs, computer access was limited, despite both degrees being completely computer dependent. Though the library has since been expanded, when I attended it was a tiny room with only course text (which we were given for our classes) on the shelves. While I attended, classes were generally full to overcrowded. Academic advisers and professors were readily accessible. I am not aware of any tutoring or study groups made available by the school. |
| Social Life | 5 | There were organized social events every quarter, a campus barbeque, and an awards ceremony. Awards were given for attendance and grades. |
| Placement Services | 5 | Student services did assist me in career placement at the end of my associates degree program. The job was not necessarily in my career field, but was a good fit for me personally. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | While attending classes there were occasional events in which alumni came to the school and gave lectures/presentations to current students. I believe alumni in hiring positions within their companies do consider ITT Tech students for job openings. |

| Would Recommend? | maybe | It depends on what they are going to school for. There are technical schools, such as Tech Skills, that would be better for people on a certain path. |
| School Reputation | 5 | Some of the people we've hired from ITT Tech have been great, but there have also been people who obviously didn't know what they were doing. Some people just test well. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 5 | It was an OK school and I learned a lot. However, the CCNA material they were teaching was actually 2 years behind what was on the current CCNA exam at that time. |
| Instruction | 8 | The classes, although usually out of date, were still pretty informative and were taught well. If they were teaching the current CCNA stuff it would be better. |
| Cost | 10 | This didn't affect me at all. Since it was related to my career field. my company pretty much paid for all of it after I passed each course. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 5 | I had to make minor adjustments for classes and what not. I worked the entire time I was in school and so I had to make sure it didn't interfere with my work schedule. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | I think the facilities were great. Everything was easy to find and the library always had what I was looking for. |
| Social Life | 4 | I was there to learn and didn't really make any friends, other than a few people I met in study groups. |
| Placement Services | 5 | I wouldn't know. I worked at a Web hosting company the entire time I was in school and still have that job today. So I didn't need to use the job placement program. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | I didn't really pay attention to that. I was there to learn, not to make friends. |

"I still have no job. It's been 3 years."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | no | My field changes too fast to learn at a school. Why learn it for $40 to $80 thousand dollars when you can learn it for free on the internet? |
| School Reputation | 5 | I don't think employers think the school is special. You might have a better chance than someone that didn't go to college, though. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 3 | The courses were too basic. They didn't teach specifically what you need for the job. |
| Instruction | 3 | A fair amount of the teachers had strong accents. Many were regularly tardy or absent. |
| Cost | 1 | It's wayyyy too expensive for what you get. Sallie Mae is an evil company that doesn't understand that we can't pay off these loans. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 7 | I had one class on a saturday and I couldn't it arrange otherwise. My scheduling was consistent for the most part. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | The Virtual Library has many great books. Our course books cover our course material well. |
| Social Life | 8 | I made a lot of friends. The school hosted events pertaining to the students' interests. |
| Placement Services | 2 | They send "job info" to student, which is simply stapled packets from job websites. They don't really help find students jobs. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | They reach out to students and send them job info. They are friendly. |

"I am learning a lot of things that are vital to a career in my field, and they make learning an easy and stress free process. I can't ask for more from a school."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |

| Would Recommend? | yes | I would definitely recommend ITT to others. It is inexpensive, close to home, and helps place you into a career when you have finished your degree. |
| School Reputation | 5 | The employers I have spoke with in interviews ask me about my schooling, but seem to have doubts about the education I may have gotten there. This may become troublesome later in the future. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 8 | I have no problem learning the material, and I have been placed as an intern in the field to get real-world experience. The material learned in class is very relevant to the real-world experience I have received. |
| Instruction | 9 | Instructors are always there to provide extra help with anything I may not understand. Very friendly instructors. |
| Cost | 10 | With the financial aid options available I was able to find a good loan and repayment plan. It was a very simple process. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | I have changing work times and ITT was able to schedule classes nicely around my job each quarter. I never had a problem with timing. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | The facilities are great, so it is easy to focus on the tasks at hand. There are a lot of encouraging showcases in the hallways, rooms, etc. |
| Social Life | 5 | I go to class to learn. I have not been very social when it comes to extracurricular activities due to my work schedule. |
| Placement Services | 10 | I was placed as an intern only 1 year into my schooling. The placement was made by the career center at ITT. I have yet to find another program that offers that kind of quick placement. |
| Alumni Network | 8 | They help graduates and pre-graduates obtain employment. Even when you have been out of their program for a while they are still genuinely interested in helping you succeed. |

"My school was undergoing a lot of major construction during the majority of my studies leaving most of the student body with cramped parking and services, but other than that the facility was very well maintained. We have very nice lunch and dining halls, as well as a beautiful park behind the building."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I would definitely recommend ITT Tech to new students. As an "older" guy entering the nursing field, I befriended and watched many younger classmates prosper and grow into fully certified nurses in a timely matter. Being as this is my post retirement job, time wasn't exactly "of the essence" for me, but seeing kids rocket into a new career right out of high school, in a much shorter time than my own children are graduating, was very rewarding. |
| School Reputation | 7 | My experiences of trying to snag a job right after school were met with mixed emotions. Some employers almost looked down on me because I did not have a "real" university degree (such as the local U of L or IUS) but others seemed not to mind. I was fortunate enough to get a job right after graduation without a problem. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 7 | I felt like I received adequate training, but nothing really "accelerated.” The hands on training and the compassion I could share with my fellow students is what really sealed the deal for me. |
| Instruction | 9 | The curriculum was very streamlined and always covered pivotal points of interest within the nursing field. We rarely had "filler" assignments and projects; everything felt like it was keeping me on the fast track to get my degree. |
| Cost | 9 | My education was very cheap compared to what I was facing with other schools. Compared to the costs my children have accrued throughout their academic lives at traditional universities, I was very satisfied. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 7 | ITT Tech had plenty of courses available for my degree path. I never had a problem finding open classes and fitting them around my busy work schedule. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | Our nursing facilities were excellent. I was part of a vivid study group throughout most of my academic career and was always gifted with supportive and helpful professors. |
| Social Life | 10 | I absolutely loved the people I studied with and continue to study with. Most of us, through campus events and attending most of the same classes, have become quite close and I adore that fact. The school was small enough that we all grew together instead of just seeing each other as other faces in the crowd. |
| Placement Services | 8 | Very, very good. I worked with the school and was placed in a job almost immediately after graduation. I did attend several interviews before I finally landed a job, but career services was supportive the entire journey. |
| Alumni Network | 4 | This is perhaps my only qualm about ITT Tech. I felt like the services were offered, but not emphasized. |

"Honestly the cost does not justify the experience. It is a good learning environment with nice teachers, but one can save money and get the same education a lot more efficiently."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | Tuition is too high. Try to get the same education for less elsewhere. |
| School Reputation | 4 | I've heard rumors of ITT having a bad rep among employers. I do think, however, that my knowledge will trump the school's reputation. As long as I know what I'm doing I don't worry too much. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 6 | The curriculum can sometime be a little too easy, so I feel like I need to be challenged a little more. I have learned a lot, however I feel like it's geared towards people who may struggle more in a traditional college. By far the worst aspect of ITT is the tuition. |
| Instruction | 7 | The teachers are pretty good. They (for the most part) seem to take an interest in student learning. No major complaints with the teachers. |
| Cost | 1 | Too expensive, but right now they are my only option. I can go to a community college or even buy and learn necessary software for a fraction of the cost. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 4 | It is a smaller campus, so schedule flexibility is lacking in my concentration. My classes are only offered once or twice a week. |
| Academic Facilities | 4 | Computer labs are available, but the software is not up to date. The library is mostly online, though they do have resources on campus. |
| Social Life | 4 | The social experience is lacking. They try to have different events, but rarely have I ran across anything that promotes student mingling. |
| Placement Services | 6 | I haven't had much experience in this area either. I do know they post jobs on an open job board, but many times I find that it's not kept up to date. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | I really don't know as I am only a few semesters in. They say they have a great network, so perhaps I will find out later. |

|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | For anyone that is a full-time professional thinking about pursuing your MBA, ITT Tech is a good choice. The flexibility is what sets it apart from the rest. |
| School Reputation | 5 | I would say ITT has an "average" reputation. I'm not sure that the requirements for acceptance are that high. However, maybe it's the grades that employers look at. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 8 | My classes are taken at my convenience; I can complete assigned work/exams on my own. I have been impressed by the quality of the support. |
| Instruction | 9 | I have learned much more than I thought I would, considering I am taking an online program. Instructors are quick to respond to questions/concerns. |
| Cost | 9 | The cost is very reasonable, making it the primary decision I decided to take a program here. I found it to be a lot less expensive than other 4-year institutions. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 9 | Being online, there are virtually no limitations. I have never had an issue with class times. This is part of the reason I chose to get my MBA through ITT Tech. |
| Academic Facilities | 7 | I do not use the facilities at the physical locations; everything I do is done at home or at my office. I have heard good things, though, from those who physically attend classes at one of the campuses. |
| Social Life | 5 | There isn't really a true sports program, so I guess that makes it a little different from your typical "large" university (i.e. Big Ten, SEC schools). I do not often socialize with anyone that attends ITT Tech. |
| Placement Services | 5 | I have not really used these services, so I cannot really rate them. In the next few months, I likely will. |
| Alumni Network | 3 | ITT Tech does not have a very extensive network of alums. There are also no athletics, so the alumni network is not what you would get at a larger school. |
ITT Technical Institute • Grand Rapids, MI
Studying Electronics Engineering (completion in: 1996)

• 8/27/2011
"The material I learned there I mostly knew or learned easily on my own, but that's because I don't think ITT was the right kind of school for me - it offered no challenge whatsoever. The materials were somewhat dated on higher technology, and I was unable to take my credits anywhere else. While it was good as an exposure to the real world for a very sheltered high school graduate, I don't think what I got was a good use of my time and money."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | no | I am mostly a computer programmer, and this was a course on electronics. It's a related field, and I was interested in it, but it only really gave me a basic background, much of which I already knew. The program I took has probably changed radically since I took it, as technology has changed so much since then, and I can't exactly blame ITT for that change, but even with the most charitable assessment, I think it was a poor choice for me and people doing what I like to do. |
| School Reputation | 2 | I think it's known as a rip-off school to many employers. Unless an employer has had a good personal experience with the school's graduates, I think mentioning it on my resume is a negative. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 4 | At the time, it was not accredited, so no classes that I took there will transfer anywhere in Michigan, not even community colleges. It did give me a good base to work from, but much of what was taught is not directly applicable anymore. |
| Instruction | 7 | All instructors had actively worked in the field. Most were retired Navy personnel and were very knowledgeable about the subject matter. |
| Cost | 1 | As a non-accredited school, I was able to get federal, but not state, loan assistance, and wasn't even able to use the state "merit" scholarships I got from the state for high school performance. The costs were very high, and considering that *nothing* transfers *anywhere* useful, I'm not sure the education was worth it. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 2 | At the time, there were two programs. Classes could not be taken out of turn, and only in one of two 4-hour blocks. I was unable to test out of classes I already was well versed in, such as the math classes. |
| Academic Facilities | 3 | The library was OK and teachers were quite available and helpful. I'm not sure how much the school itself was responsible for that. |
| Social Life | 1 | As a purely technically related school, all focus was on getting us through the classes. Some of us got together during breaks for card games, but that was about it. I think we had 1-2 picnic-like events per year, which is all I recall the school itself supporting. |
| Placement Services | 2 | I believe they promised lifelong job placement assistance, but I can't find info on it, and I don't receive any follow up info from the school. When I was there, they were a big help. They got me a job as a teaching assistant, and one of the teachers hired me (and left teaching) to start a computer services company. |
| Alumni Network | 2 | I had received 1-2 letters from the school after graduating, but virtually nothing from them in many years (aside from ads for me to come back for the same programs I already completed). I am not even sure on where to start to find other graduates and info, aside from outside places like Facebook. |

|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | no | Overall, this school has been a negative experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. |
| School Reputation | 3 | None of my classmates have been able to find employment, and neither have I. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 5 | I don't feel like there is enough "hands-on" training. There never seems to be enough resources available to the students. Also, some of the instructors have basically told us how they won't be there after this semester, so they basically don't care. |
| Instruction | 3 | The instructors usually won't work with the students. They don't explain information thoroughly. |
| Cost | 1 | The tuition for this school is off the charts. It is way too expensive. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 3 | You basically have to schedule your life around the classes due to the fact that it's usually never possible to switch. You can also end up having morning classes then night classes. |
| Academic Facilities | 1 | Labs are never available. Resources are very scarce. |
| Social Life | 1 | No school spirit whatsoever. I don't know any of my classmates. |
| Placement Services | 4 | Career services hasn't helped me whatsoever. They haven't provided me with any worthwhile information. |
| Alumni Network | 4 | So far there has been no mention as to anything about this. Nobody has came forward to explain this at all. |

|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | maybe | For the hands on instruction, the school is great. But, classroom time is compressed and sometimes ineffective. |
| School Reputation | 1 | Most employers did not take the school seriously. I think they see it as a degree mill. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 7 | I enjoyed the hands on experience. The subject matter was also proper and timely. |
| Instruction | 5 | I had great instructors and difficult ones as well. I found that the instructors were willing to help out if they had the time. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 1 | With the accelerated program, attendance was a big issue. If you missed a class you were often dropped. The class schedules were actually a hindrance if you had a job. |
| Academic Facilities | 1 | Lab space and equipment was limited. The office hours of professors we often too short. |
| Placement Services | 1 | The school, while promising connections, did not host enough career fairs. I found that all that was there for careers was a print out of an online job board. |
| Alumni Network | 1 | There was virtually no alumni support. The advertisements made it seem like they were active in alumni counseling, but I did not see it. |

| Would Recommend? | maybe | It depend on a person's situation. I might recommend the school to someone who is returning to school after a while or someone who has dropped out. |
| School Reputation | 6 | The school doesn't stand out much among employers, but it's no worse then any other technical school. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 7 | My teachers were very hands on and I learned a lot. I did, however, feel that the courses not really related to my major were not really covered as well. |
| Instruction | 7 | I learned a great deal about computers, programming, and networking, but lately I'm finding myself more and more unprepared at work. |
| Cost | 7 | The school was priced reasonably well. Their payment plan is also flexible. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 9 | The school was great at scheduling classes around my job. They were extremely flexible when I had to change jobs and my class schedule. |
| Academic Facilities | 5 | The facilities weren't very large or as glamorous as many other schools, but they got the job done reasonably well. |
| Social Life | 3 | The school had a few events. There weren't many parties or athletic events. |
| Placement Services | 6 | They did find me a job right out of school. The job, however, is at a call center and I feel like its not the right job for me. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | ITT Tech has offered me additional training to keep up to date in my field. I do feel that it isn't very comprehensive and that I can do fine without it. |

| Would Recommend? | no | I think a community college would offer a better education at a lower price. |
| School Reputation | 5 | I feel like my employers think ITT Tech is a joke. Most will overlook it. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 6 | The industry I studied is ever evolving and changing. I felt like the program didn't always keep up. |

| Would Recommend? | yes | I definitely would recommend this school to others looking to go into this field. The school provides a great hands on method of learning. Wonderful instructors there to help you every step of the way! |
| School Reputation | 9 | I think it has a great reputation. I am proud to tell people I earned a degree from there! |
| Satisfaction With Major | 9 | I was very satisfied. Great teaching and lots of hands on work, which is the best way to learn in my opinion! |
| Instruction | 5 | I would say average. The instructors did know what they were doing and they taught really well, but they didn't teach as much as they could have. It was often left up to us as students to fill in the blanks from time to time. |
| Cost | 5 | I would say it is no better or worse than any other school. You typically get what you pay for. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | The school is very flexible. They offer weekend, night and online classes. Very nice! |
| Academic Facilities | 9 | They have wonderful work spaces, and great things you can work with and on. Instructors are always there to help, as is a great team of students who stand by to fill in. I cannot say enough about this! |
| Social Life | 2 | It's really not a typical college where you would expect school spirit. It is simply a Technical training school. |
| Placement Services | 8 | They do pretty well with job placement and they even check in on you after you are placed. The only negative in this is that you have to ask for the assistance. |
| Alumni Network | 4 | I would say it is less than average, but it's really not an "alumni" type school. It's a technical school. |

| Satisfaction With Major | 10 | ITT Technical Institute is a great school for web design. This school only deals with technology, and web design is a large part of that. There have been numerous successful web designers who have come from ITT Tech. They offer a wide variety of classes to meet your needs. Campuses are located nationwide. |
| Instruction | 8 | I have learned quite a lot. The Career Services Department can help graduates find employment two quarters prior to your scheduled graduation date. The employment process begins as soon as you enter one of the programs and continues long after graduation. |
| Cost | 1 | Tuition was too expensive. $40,000 was a lot of money. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | I can log into my online classes anytime I like. It is on my own schedule. |
| Academic Facilities | 10 | The Student Portal is a comprehensive website that provides all kinds of information. The discussions boards help students interact with one another and ask and reply to questions. |
| Social Life | 5 | I am taking online classes, so this doesn't apply. |
| Placement Services | 5 | The career center helps out with resumes and anything the student may need help with. Instructors are also quick to reply to any questions one might have and the financial aid and technical support department are very helpful in answering any additional questions or problems. |

"I enjoyed my time at ITT tech. If I had to do it all over again I would have done my associates in junior college and then transferred."

| Would Recommend? | yes | If technology is your degree field of choice, don't hesitate. You only have to take classes that are directly in your chosen area. |
| School Reputation | 8 | I believe that ITT gives you a great shot to follow your dreams. The rest is up to you and how you handle the situation following your degree. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 8 | Overall, the program advertised a lot of hands on learning, but many of the teachers reverted to teaching from the books. Also, there was a lot of turnover in the teachers from quarter to quarter. |
| Instruction | 8 | Mr. Iannone was the best teacher since he mixed it up and gave real-world exercises. Many teachers were covering areas that they didn't have direct experience in. |
| Cost | 5 | The prices seem to be about even with any type of higher education institution. Sometimes it seemed a bit pricey when taking an online class that you expected to be a "live" workshop. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | When I attended there were morning and night classes. The evening classes helped those who had full time jobs. Some classes were only offered during the day. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | Many of the computers and labs were outdated. The school was in the middle of a remodel in 2009. |
| Social Life | 2 | There were no school organized events or social events. This is a targeted tech school so it's not on the same level as a university. |
| Placement Services | 10 | I graduated in August of 2009 and was placed in my first job in October 2009. The staff in this office really ensures that you will get job interviews. |
| Alumni Network | 2 | There weren't many Alumni events or notifications sent out for them. I am not even sure if there is a group that controls this. |

"I didn't feel like most of the teachers really cared about what they were teaching. They seemed to be very busy people with other jobs in addition to teaching."

| Would Recommend? | maybe | The good thing about the school is it is very hands on. Unlike most traditional 4 year universities, you got to work with computers instead of learning theory. The cost was high, though, and the teachers didn't really seem to care |
| School Reputation | 5 | I never got a job in the field. I ended up leaving the school to take a job at Ford. From what I saw, though, there was neither praise or detractions being given to the school. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 3 | The teachers there seemed to be working as second jobs for extra money. The Financial Aid Department pushes you through without much explanation of the financial commitment you are making. |
| Instruction | 3 | Again the professors did not seem to care. Some of the material was out of date. |
| Cost | 1 | The school provided you with all the books, which was included in the tuition. The tuition costs were ridiculous, though. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | They were pretty good at being flexible. The school would let you change from a morning to an evening class even in the middle of the school year. |
| Academic Facilities | 7 | They had pretty good computer labs and a pretty extensive online library. The online library was available from home or at the school. |
| Social Life | 5 | There was not much in way of social events. |
| Placement Services | 10 | The career counselor I met with was very good and very experienced at his job. I had several call backs even after I left the school. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | We have access to the library after graduation. There was not much else offered. |

"I think the school should decrease the amount it charges for tuition and fire the salesman. A real school doesn't need salesman, like a good car doesn't need a good salesman."

| Would Recommend? | no | I haven't seen any GIS programs at ITT Tech. I also would not recommend it due to the extremely high tuition costs. Community colleges at least give people a chance to buy used books. |
| School Reputation | 2 | I don't think employers are very impressed with ITT Tech degrees. I feel much more confident with a community college degree. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 5 | The instructors were knowledgeable, but they were not very charismatic. |
| Instruction | 6 | I got a lot of hands on learning, but most of the instructors were boring and couldn't keep me engaged during discussions. |
| Cost | 1 | The school was very overpriced. I got a better education at a community college for 1/4 of the price. The CC had better resources, but was not as flexible with schedules. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | I was happy with the 3 day a week evening classes. I'm not sure if there were weekend options back then. |
| Academic Facilities | 7 | The computer lab was great. I didn't even know the campus had a library. |
| Social Life | 1 | There was no school spirit. I think the idea behind this kind of school is to avoid that kind of stuff. |
| Placement Services | 5 | Average because I didn't graduate. My friend who did graduate was never placed into a job, though. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | Average because I am not familiar at all with the alumni network. |

"I felt the school was adequate for my educational needs."

| Would Recommend? | yes | The educational experience offered currently at ITT Tech is far superior to what it was when I attended. |
| School Reputation | 10 | ITT Tech graduates are highly sought out by prospective employers. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 8 | ITT Tech only covered the basics of each program it offered at the time. Advanced education had to be obtained on-the-job. |
| Instruction | 9 | Instructors seemed to know what they were talking about and were able to answer questions effectively. |
| Cost | 8 | It was not very expensive at the time. I felt more education could have been provided for the money, though. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | Classes were offered 3x per day to accommodate those with jobs or other responsibilities. |
| Academic Facilities | 9 | The needed equipment was up to date and functional. |
| Social Life | 9 | I felt like the school was similar to a family environment. |
| Placement Services | 3 | ITT Tech offered little to no job hunting assistance. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | There's not much in the way of alumni programs. |

"Just not at all satisfied."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | no | I would never recommend the school to anyone else. The main reasons are the cost and the poor materials and equipment. |
| School Reputation | 2 | People don't seem too impressed when I tell them where I went. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 2 | The books were terrible. They were not typical college textbooks. Tthey were all made in India and did not translate well. They were sub-par and very disappointing!! |
| Instruction | 5 | Most of the instructors were pretty good but the tools, and material were not. |
| Cost | 1 | It cost as much or more as most BACHELOR'S degrees elsewhere - for an associate's degree and none of the credits transfer to other schools! |
| Schedule Flexibility | 4 | It was a very strict schedule and pace. You could not just take the number of courses that you wanted to - you had no choices. |
| Academic Facilities | 2 | The library was bad, and equipment and materials were bad. Half of the computers did not work right. |
| Social Life | 2 | There were no organized social events that I ever knew of. |
| Placement Services | 5 | They had a pretty good email system where you could get some leads. It wasn't too bad. |
| Alumni Network | 3 | I have not heard from anyone since graduating. |

"It provided me with a degree and valuable experience. They have a strong curriculum, but the staff sometimes has a problem implementing it."

| Would Recommend? | yes | It provides you with what you need: the basics of electronics, hands on experience, and helps you get your foot in the door. Its also fit my need where I had to work full time and attend college close to home. |
| School Reputation | 5 | Most employers look to see you have a college degree. ITT Tech is just another school. |
| Satisfaction With Major | 8 | The curriculum was well prepared. It taught the basics of what you needed to know to get your foot in the door. |
| Instruction | 8 | We had a number of good teachers that worked in the field. They were able to offer a lot of hands on experience. |
| Cost | 1 | It is extremely expensive for a non-accredited college. We have former students and engineers teaching classes, not instructors with degrees. It's great in terms of hands on work experience, but not so great when it comes to actual structure. |
| Schedule Flexibility | 3 | Originally, classes were M/W/F nights. Eventually that changed to whenever they could get a full class together. There was only 1 CEET class per semester. |
| Academic Facilities | 10 | Everything was being renovated when I went there. Everything was either new or being updated. |
| Social Life | 1 | ITT Tech has no school spirit or functions. The only social experiences we had involved grabbing a bite to eat w/ a few students at the local hot dog place during break. |
| Placement Services | 5 | I did not utilize Career Services. I was already working in the field when I went to school. They seemed to cater towards entry level positions. |
| Alumni Network | 1 | ITT Tech does not have an alumni network. I have not had contact with the school since graduating. |
