Technology Education College is owned by Kaplan Higher Education, one of the largest private education providers with one million students served in the United States and internationally. The Technology Education College offers Career Training in computers, healthcare and the legal fields.

Academic Programs

  • Computer Support Technician Diploma – The curriculum uses hands-on learning, lectures and group discussions to train students in computer programming, network systems and hardware and software. Graduates are provided the knowledge and skills to seek entry-level jobs as desktop support technicians, office systems support specialists, hardware/software installers, and help desk specialists.
  • Engineering Drafting with CAD Associate Degree – The program provides training in basic, intermediate and advanced engineering drafting/CAD techniques. Hands-on learning is emphasized.
  • Medical Assisting Associate Degree – Offers a broad understanding of clinical procedures, human body systems and medical terminology. The program also includes training in computer technologies and word processing.
  • Medical Assisting Diploma – Provides a strong foundation in clinical procedures, human body systems and medical terminology. Graduates have the opportunity to find employment in front office and clinical settings. An externship is also provided at a physicians' office, hospital or a health care facility.
  • Criminal Justice Associate Degree – Provides a comprehensive review of criminology, juvenile delinquency, criminal investigations, private security, police operations and other topics. Graduates are prepared for entry-level jobs in a variety of law enforcement fields.

Student Life

The Career Services Department representatives help students find part-time employment and provide career planning and assessment. Ongoing assistance is offered to the alumni. The Students Services Department is also available to provide assistance. In addition, qualified students may apply for the Federal Work Study Program.

Admissions and Financial Aid

An admissions representative assists applicants with the admissions process. Applicants are required to show a high school diploma or a GED certificate. However, for some programs, students without a high school diploma or a GED certificate may be admitted after demonstrating the "Ability To Benefit" from the training by passing a test.

For financial assistance, the school's Financial Aid Office assists students in putting together a financial aid package.
