About the School

The Florida Institute of Recording, Sound and Technology, also known as The F.R.S.T. School, provides diplomas in recording arts, film and video and the entertainment business. The programs emphasize hands-on learning and technical skills. According to the school, some graduates of the programs are working in production facilities, radio and television stations and major media companies worldwide. The facility includes recording studios, computer labs, editing suites, green screens, sounds stages and other settings.

Academic Programs

  • Audio Engineering and Music Production Program – The comprehensive curriculum offers advanced knowledge and skills. Hands-on learning is a major part of the program.
  • Film and Video Program – Thoroughly examines high definition development and production. The program provides training from pre-production through post-production for film an video. Training in visual effects is also included. Hands-on learning is emphasized in the program.
  • Entertainment Business Program – Offers a broad understanding of marketing, finance, advertising and accounting. The program also includes a thorough review of entertainment industry issues such as artist management, intellectual property and publishing and distribution. Enrollees are also provided with the knowledge and skills to produce a feasible business plan based on their creative ideas.

Admissions and Financial Aid
