About the School
Founded in 1998, TUI University provides bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. degrees online. TUI University was formerly Touro University International. The programs are primarily designed for adults, busy professionals and US Armed Forces personnel. The university consists of a collection of colleges, including the Business Administrative, Health Sciences, Information Systems and Education colleges. The university strives to keep the courses up-to-date with changes in industry.
Academic Programs
The school offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs organized by college. These colleges include:
- College of Business Administration – Degree programs place emphasis on building students' analysis and problem solving capabilities in the context of real business issues. Courses review in depth the functional aspects of business administration along with an emphasis on ethical issues and global applications. Students have numerous specialized areas to choose from, such as criminal justice, finance, general management, hospitality management, information technology, human resources, marketing, logistics, entrepreneurship, negotiation, international business, and more. The classes are case-focused and application based.
- College of Health Science – The college's degree programs seek to nurture the ability of graduates to think critically, practice ethically, and work collaboratively across health science disciplines. Courses are designed to provide enrollees the fundamental knowledge and skills required for management positions and education careers in numerous health fields. Programs also examine the political, economic and social aspects of health care. Degree areas offer a variety of concentrations, specialties, and degree completions, including: health educator, family health, nutrition, emergency and disaster management, physician assistant, radiological technicians, respiratory therapy, laboratory technician, Independent Duty Corpsmen, preventative medicine technician, international health, health informatics, public health, law and expert witness, clinical research administration, and more.
- College of Education – The college's studies offer a broad based perspective regarding education and also emphasize analytical and problem solving skills. The programs offers numerous concentrations and specialties such as educational leadership and administration, early childhood education, teaching and instruction, higher education, enrollment management, adult education, training, aviation education, technology and learning, and e-learning and online teaching.
- College of Information Systems – The college emphasizes the study of how to manage evolving information technologies within the context of organizational social and structural factors. The Information Technology Management degree programs seek to provide a broad understanding of all the aspects of information technology management. The program also emphasizes global applications. Areas of optional focus within the Information Technology programs include business intelligence, information security / assurance and digital forensics. The Computer Science degree program is targeted at readying students for entry-level positions within business and non-profit enterprises. Practical learning is provided in computer operating systems, networks, computer programming, security, databases and web services. The classes are application based.

Faculty

Student Life
The online student body consists of national and international students. The majority of the students are adults and many of them are working professionals and military personnel. TUI University offers a variety of student services and an extensive library.
TUI holds a graduating ceremony annually near its Cerritos, California headquarters. All graduates from throughout the US and world are invited to attend. A recent keynote speaker was Alexander Haig, a former U.S. Secretary of State, White House Chief of Staff, and Supreme Commander in Europe (NATO).
Admissions and Financial Aid
Admissions requirements vary by program. No application fee is required for bachelor's and master's degree programs. International students are required to meet the university's English competency requirements.
Concerning financial assistance, federal grants and loans and other financial aid sources are available to those who qualify. The school describes its tuition costs as reasonable and affordable and notes that its per credit costs are lower than for traditional on-campus universities.
