About the School

Founded in Southern California over 25 years ago, UEI offers career-training programs in the fields of healthcare, technology and business. UEI College strives to offer programs that meet the demands of employers. The school has been approved for training of veterans by California's approving agency.

Academic Programs

Available programs include:

  • Business Management Associate Degree – The program examines the various aspects of management and supervision, E-commerce, marketing, accounting, finance and practical business law. Students are prepared for entry-level to mid-level supervisory and management jobs.
  • Computer Systems Technicians – Training is provided in computer support training and networking technology. Graduates have opportunities for jobs such as field technicians, help desk support technicians and quality assurance technicians. Graduates may also seek employment in PC support and maintenance and computer sales and marketing.
  • Criminal Justice – Offers a solid foundation in the processes of criminal justice and the security field. Students are prepared for entry-level jobs in criminal justice and security.
  • Massage Therapy Diploma – The comprehensive program reviews the various aspects of massage therapy. Numerous topics are studied including medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and the psychological and physiological effects of massage therapy. Hands-on training is provided in a clinical setting.
  • Medical Assistant Diploma – Offers a broad understanding of the occupation. Students are prepared for jobs such as clinical assistant, medical lab assistant, medical assistant, medical records clerk and medical administrative assistant.
  • Medical Billing and Insurance Diploma – Designed to ready students for jobs ranging from medical records clerk to medical office management. Studies include word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, creating forms, industry procedures and terminology.
  • Pharmacy Technician Diploma – Provides a broad understanding of the occupation. Graduates are qualified to work as inventory, retail, home healthcare and mail order pharmacy technicians. They also have opportunities to work for drug wholesale and manufacturing companies.

Student Life

UEI offers extensive career placement services. School personnel are available to assist students with a variety of issues. The school also provides externships to give students practical experiences.

Admissions and Financial Aid

The admissions process is initiated by an interview with an admissions representative. A second meeting with the Director of Admissions will determine if the candidate may enroll at the school. Candidates must pass an entrance evaluation. For those under the age of 18, a high school diploma or a GED credential is required.

Financial Planning Department personnel help students put together a financial aid package. Federal loans and grants and other types of financial aid are provided for those who qualify. UEI College also provides scholarships to qualified students.
