Academic Programs

The school's program areas include:

• Medical/Clinical Laboratory Assistant – Offers a comprehensive review of laboratory procedures, medical terminology, EKG procedures, safety and medical ethics and other subjects.
• Basic X-Ray – Includes the fundamentals of radiological technology, patient care, anatomy and other topics. Students are prepared to take the Basic X-Ray Machine Operator examination. Students participate in taking x-rays of patients at physician offices and healthcare facilities.
• Phlebotomy – Offers the skills that are necessary to work as a phlebotomy technician in a hospital, laboratory, medical office or clinic. Graduates have the opportunity to take the A.M.T. National Phlebotomy examination.
• Dental Assistant – Offers training in the basic procedures of dentist assisting. Students are also trained to manage the daily operations of a dental office.
• Nursing Assistant Program – Offers comprehensive training in various aspects of patient care, anatomy, physiology, emergency procedures and other topics. Students are prepared for the National Nurse Aid Assessment Program exam.
• Insurance Billing and Coding Specialist – Provides training in completing, processing and maintaining healthcare insurance claims. Training with medical coding and medical billing software is also included.
• Patient Care Technician – Offers knowledge and skills regarding phlebotomy, EKG procedures, updating medical charts and monitoring the condition of patients. The training covers various hospital departments such as critical care, intensive care, rehabilitation and pediatrics. The curriculum offers real-world experience through an internship at a healthcare facility.

Student Life

The school has a diverse student population. Some of the students are training for full-time jobs while other are training for part-time employment opportunities.
