About University of Cincinnati Online
Founded in 1819, University of Cincinnati (UC) is a public research university located in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to campus programs, UC offers distance learning options for students including undergraduate and graduate degrees, certificates, and individual course offerings. UC has offered distance learning programs since 1984, and over the years has become an integral part of the University. UC offers a variety of delivery methods for distance learning programs, with most courses delivered asynchronously via an online learning platform. UC is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Learning Options
Most coursework is completed asynchronously, with students completing assignments at their own pace within specified deadlines. Coursework is interactive, with students posting messages on discussion boards and participating in chat sessions. The online learning platform is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and students generally access the platform several times per week. Most courses are completed 100% online, but some online classes require minimal on-campus visits.
