About University of the Rockies Online

University of the Rockies is a private graduate school located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Originally founded in 1998 as the Colorado School of Professional Psychology, University of the Rockies offers both campus and online graduate degree programs in the Master of the Arts in Psychology and the Doctor of Psychology. Online programs are flexible and academically equivalent to campus programs. Students can complete an accelerated, online master's program in approximately 18-20 months or a doctoral program in a little over three years. A member of the North Central Association (NCA), University of the Rockies is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission.

Learning Options

Classes at University of the Rockies run continuously throughout the year rather than on a semester schedule. All programs are accelerated, with students finishing master's programs in approximately 18-20 months and doctorate degrees in just over three years. All coursework is completed asynchronously, allowing students to complete assignments according to their own schedule, with the University requiring students to logon to the online platform at least two times per week.

Faculty members at University of the Rockies are highly qualified, credentialed members of the professional community with doctoral degrees. Faculty are available to students throughout the program, and also serve as career mentors.

Student Life

Programs are geared toward working adults, with each student assigned their own personal Academic Advisor to provide support throughout the entire program. The University offers a wide variety of resources to students.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Interested applicants should contact the school for admissions information as requirements vary by program. All applicants must submit an Application for Admission and submit any official transcripts from schools attended. In addition, students must have the ability to speak the English language. Federal financial aid is available to qualified students including Stafford and PLUS loans. In addition, students are eligible to apply for private loans, veteran's educational benefits, military tuition assistance, and employer reimbursement.
