Overview
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, also known as ABAC, is a coeducational, two-year college located in Tifton, Georgia, United States. It was established in 1908. The college is well known for its agriculture department. ABAC was originally established as the Second District A & M School but, after a few name and status changes, it was christened Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 1933. In addition to associate-level courses in agriculture, the college also grants several bachelor degrees in diverse areas of study.
ABAC's active student administration works for the overall development of its students. The college offers various career counseling and placement facilities for the students' benefit. ABAC’s campus is home to a variety of clubs and organizations inclufing the Baptist Student Union, the Helping Profession Club, and the International Club. The college also publishes a literary magazine named the "Pegasus," and a newspaper called “The Stallion.” Both publications are well-known and widely acclaimed.
