Academy Of Art University

The Academy of Art University is a proprietary, private university owned by the Stephens Institute. It was established in San Francisco in 1929 as the Academy of Art Advertising by Richard S. Stephens. The university enrolls more than 13,000 students. It is one of the largest art and design schools in the United States. The Academy of Art University includes several schools such as:

The University offers both on-campus and distance education (online) degrees and certificate programs. The programs include Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Art, and Bachelor of Fine Arts for undergraduate degrees; Master of Art, Master of Fine Arts, and Master of Architecture for graduate degrees; and certificate programs for personal enrichment.

The student body of the Academy of Art University has an impressive number of international students. There are special clubs on campus to assist foreign students with admission into the university.
