Agnes Scott College

Agnes Scott College was established in 1889. The founder of the institution was Frank H. Gaines, who was a Presbyterian minister. ASC was originally known as the Decatur Female Seminary. In 1906, it was renamed Agnes Scott College. It is a private women's college of liberal arts located in Decatur, Georgia. The institution provides programs in more than 30 undergraduate majors and over 25 minors. Several pre-professional programs and dual-degree programs are also provided.

ASC is home to a number of recognized student clubs and organizations. Some of them are the Habitat for Humanity, The Colonnade Club, Baptist Collegiate Ministry, Fellowship of Christian Students and the International Student Association.
