Allegany College of Maryland, also known as ACM, is a two-year, public, community college located in Cumberland, Maryland, United States. It was originally founded in 1962 as Allegany Community College. ACM moved to its current campus in 1969. The campus consists of 330 acres. The College offers more than 50 associate degrees, over 15 certificates, and over 10 letters of recognition. The college's academic programs are organized into the following academic divisions: Business Careers, Computer Careers, Health Careers, Science Careers, Hospitality Careers, and Social Service Careers & Technical Service Careers.
ACM’s men's baseball and basketball teams have consistently ranked in the top 20 of their respective National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Divisions. The college's student body boasts of an impressive number of international students.
