Overview

Alverno College is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It founded in the year 1887 and was initially called St. Joseph’s Normal School. Initially, the college educated the School Sisters of St. Francis. It received its present name in 1946. Alverno College offers students more than 60 academic programs in diverse areas of study including art therapy, biology, and marketing management. The college is divided in the following four schools:

  • School of Education
  • School of Nursing

Alverno College has many student organizations including the Orientation Leaders, Student Group Council, Alverno Student Government, MUCAO, and Student Involvement Fair. Students compete in sports such as cross country, basketball, softball, soccer, volleyball, and tennis.
