Overview

The American Academy of Dramatic Arts-West, located in Los Angeles, California, has another campus in New York. The academy, whose name is abbreviated as AADA, was founded in 1884. The acting school in Los Angeles was started in 1974. AADA offers an enhanced professional training program in acting and performances. Certificate courses, associate’s degrees in arts and bachelor’s degrees are offered in various aspects of acting, vocal production, stage dialects, make-up, camera technique and theater history.

AADA’s campus in Los Angeles has state-of-the-art classrooms, costumes and props shop, acting studios and television studios. The academy also has a 150-seat, well equipped theater.
