The American Baptist College is located in Nashville, Tennessee. It was opened on September 14, 1924 as the American Baptist Theological Seminary, but it received its current name in 1971. The college’s campus covers an area of more than 50 acres. It offers associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs in theology and biblical studies. ABC also offers a certificate program in Christian training.
The American Baptist College offers President’s Scholarships to its eligible students. Financial aid is also available in the form of Veteran’s Benefits, Federal grants and State grants. Some of the notable alumni of the American Baptist College include Civil Rights Leader James Bevel, LeRoy Bailey Jr. and actor and theatrical producer Andre Hairston.
