Overview
Anderson University, also known as AU, is located in Anderson, South Carolina, United States. It was established in 1911. The main campus encompasses more than 190 acres and has approximately 36 buildings. AU offers several bachelor and master degrees in approximately 50 areas of study. The U. S. News and World Report named the university one of the 70 "Up and Coming" institutions in the nation in 2008. AU is divided into the following academic schools and colleges:

AU is home to many student organizations and groups including the American Choral Directors Association, Spanish Club, AU Education Club, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Collegiate Music Educators National Conference, Habitat for Humanity, Gamma Beta Phi, and Student Government Association. The university publishes a newspaper called the "Echoes."
