Appalachian Technical College

Appalachian Technical College was established in 1967 as a technical college in Jasper, Georgia. It was originally known as the Pickens Area Vocational-Technical School, but was renamed in 1999. The institution also has a satellite campus in Woodstock. Appalachian Technical College offers more than 50 associate’s degrees. Various technical certificates of credit and diploma programs are also provided by the institution.

Appalachian Technical College has an active student life and the campus is home to several clubs and organizations based on the varied interests of the students. The institution also arranges various support programs for students with disabilities.
