Overview

Arkansas Baptist College, ABC, is based in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a historically black, private, four-year liberal arts college that was founded as The Minister's Institute in 1884 and was initially funded by the Colored Baptists from Arkansas.

Arkansas Baptist College is organized into three schools through which it provides associate's and bachelor's degrees. The schools are –

  • Business & Applied Science Technology
  • Liberal Arts & General Studies
  • School of Social Science, Religion & Christian Leadership

The athletic teams of Arkansas Baptist College, which are nicknamed the Buffaloes, compete in the the National Junior College Athletics Association. Student organizations on campus include the fraternities Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi and Phi Beta Sigma. The sororities are Delta Sigma Theta and Zeta Phi Beta.
