The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Springfield, Missouri was established in 1972. Commonly abbreviated as AGTS, the seminary offers educational programs for prospective clergy. It is a graduate school offering master’s and doctoral level degrees in a number of fields related to biblical studies. The college offers courses in divinity, Christian ministries, intercultural ministries, theological study and missiology.
AGTS has an active student life, comprising of a number of student ministries such as the Hospital Ministry, the Prison Ministry, the Chapel Worship Team and the Women’s Fellowship. The college also has a student services department and a student advisory council, which both offer career counseling services for the students. The college also offers financial aid to deserving students in the form of institutional scholarship programs.
