Overview

Augusta Technical College was established in 1961, and is a 2-year college situated in Augusta, Georgia. It was founded as Augusta Area Vocational-Technical School, and was chartered in 1986. After a few name and status changes, it was renamed to its present name in 2000. The college offers a wide variety of programs in diverse areas of study.

Augusta Technical College has an active student life. The college students are encouraged to take part in numerous local and national organizations that are related to their programs of study. Delta Epsilon Chi, American Culinary Federation Junior Chefs Association, and the International Association of Administrative Professionals are a few organizations and associations that maintain campus chapters for student memberships.
