Overview
Azusa Pacific University, or APU, was founded by merging three Christian institutions: the Azusa College, Arlington College, and Los Angeles Pacific College. It was established in 1889 as the Training School for Christian Worker. It was renamed to Pacific Bible College in 1939. The college was merged with Los Angeles Pacific College in 1965 and became Azusa Pacific College, or APC. In 1968, APC merged with Arlington College. It gained university status in 1981 and adopted its current name. Presently, the university covers more than 100 acres in Azusa, California. APU is organized into several colleges and schools including:

APU has a number of on-campus student clubs and organizations including Students for Social Justice, Accounting Honors Society, Japanese Christian Fellowship, Pacific Islanders, Black Men’s Fellowship, Club Social Work, Azusa Film Society, ALEA Student Ministry, International Justice Mission, and many more.
