Baptist University of the Americas, situated in San Antonio, Texas, was established in 1947 and was originally known as Mexican Baptist Training School. The college was given its current name in 2003 and is also commonly known as BUA. The programs offered at BUA lead to a bachelor’s degree and include biblical/theological studies, cross-cultural business leadership, Spanish and cross-cultural studies.
BUA has the following academic divisions for advanced studies:
- Center for Cultural and Language Studies
- Latina Leadership Institute
BUA offers its students with academic, personal and career counseling services. The graduating students are offered job placement assistance as well. BUA offers financial aid to deserving students in the form of institutional scholarships. Students can take advantage of scholarship programs such as the Presidential Scholarship and the Hale-Moore Scholarships.
