Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School Of Nursing

Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing, BJC-GSON, is located in Saint Louis, Missouri. The Jewish Hospital School of Nursing, which was founded in 1902, and the Barnes Hospital School of Nursing, founded in 1955, merged in 2005 to form the Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing and Allied Health. The name was changed to Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in 2007. The first classes began in January 2008. BJC-GSON offers Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs, Master of Science in Nursing programs and the dual degree Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) – Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. GSON is housed in Goldfarb Hall, a 100,000 square foot building with modern facilities.

Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing has roughly 100 scholarship funds. Eligible students can apply for Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG), Stafford Loans, and Graduate PLUS Loans to meet their educational expenses. Students participate in professional, social, community, and campus activities. The Library at GSON houses numerous periodicals, books, software and audiovisual titles.
