Bastyr University is a private university located in Kenmore, Washington. BU was established in the year 1978. The university was named after the late John Bastyr, a pioneering naturopathic physician and chiropractor in Seattle. BU offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in several subjects, including oriental medicine, nutrition sciences and applied behavioral science, nutrition and Oriental medicine. The university is divided into the following academic schools and colleges:
