Baylor University, or BU, is a private, Baptist-affiliated, research university located in Waco, Texas, United States. It was founded in 1845 and is the largest Baptist University in the world by enrollment. BU is a member of the Association of Southern Baptist Colleges and Schools. The university is known for its programs in business, law, music, theology, and science.

Housing and MealsBaylor provides on-campus housing for 4,669 of its 13,829 (full-time) students (as of 2007). The school requires freshmen to live on campus. Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 16 meals weekly.
Baylor AthleticsSchool sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. Baylor is in the Big Twelve Conference for major sports. Baylor offers financial aid for athletes.
