Overview
Belmont Abbey College is a private, liberal-arts Catholic college located in Belmont, North Carolina. BAC was founded in 1876 and today sits upon an area of 650 acres. It offers undergraduate and graduate courses in several subjects, including accounting, business management, economics and psychology. In addition, the college also offers several career and pre-professional programs, including dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmacy and pre-law.
BAC has several student clubs and organizations on campus. The Ballroom Dancing Club, the Elite Dance Team, the Abbey Chorus, College Republicans and Crusaders for Life are some student-run clubs. The college also has an active Greek life, with chapters of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Delta Psi Theta, Phi Kappa Theta, Sigma Alpha and Alpha Sigma Pi.
