Bemidji State University, also known as BSU, is a public state university, located in Bemidji, Minnesota. It was established in 1919 and was originally created as Bemidji State Normal School. BSU records an enrollment of over 4,500 students every year. The university offers various under-graduate and post-graduate programs covering various areas of study. BSU is famous for its writing courses. It is a network of the following schools and colleges:

Bemidji State AthleticsSchool sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. Bemidji State is in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for major sports. Bemidji State offers financial aid for athletes.
