Overview

Berea College is located in Berea, Kentucky, United States. It was established in 1855 by John Gregg Fee. It was the first coeducational college in the South. The college awarded its first bachelor degrees in 1873. Berea College enrolls approximately 1,500 students annually and attracts students from over 60 countries worldwide. It offers an array of degrees and certificate programs in more than 25 different fields of study.

Berea College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and competes in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Their sports teams are known as the Mountaineers. The sports teams participate in basketball, golf, softball, tennis, baseball, track and field, swimming, soccer, volleyball, and cross country.
