Berry College

Berry College is located in Mount Berry, Georgia, United States. It was established in 1902 by Martha McChesney Berry as a college for the rural youth. Graduate programs were added in 1972.

The campus occupies an area of 26,000 acres and comprises of more than 40 buildings. The college offers Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Education and Education Specialist, and Master of Business Administration degrees from the following four schools.

• Evans School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences
• School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences

Berry College has a variety of clubs and organizations including the Psychology Society, Society of Outdoor Life and Experience, and Black Student Alliance. The college has a diverse student body and enrolls students from 20 foreign countries.

Housing and Meals

Berry provides on-campus housing for 1,407 of its 1,787 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Athletics

The school is in the Georgia-Alabama-Carolina Conference for major sports.

The school offers financial aid for athletes. Of students receiving athletic financial aid, 85 male students received the aid (men were 57% of those receiving aid) and 63 women were awarded financial aid based on athletics (representing 43% of students receiving such aid) .
