Bloomfield College

Bloomfield College is a private, liberal arts institute located in Bloomfield, New Jersey, United States. It was established in 1868. It was originally founded as the German Theological Seminary of Newark, New Jersey, by the Presbyterian Church. The purpose of this seminary was to train the German-speaking ministers. The institute was moved to Bloomfield, New Jersey, in 1872. It became a four-year college in 1923.

Bloomfield College offers enrollment to more than 2,000 full-time and part-time undergraduates. Students can opt for bachelor degrees in various fields of study. the academic divisions of the college are:

Bloomfield College's athletics department fields men’s and women’s teams in basketball, soccer, baseball, cross country, tennis, softball, and volleyball. The teams are nicknamed the Deacons.
