Blue Mountain College is a Christian Liberal Arts College located in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. Civil War Brigadier General Mark Perrin Lowrey established the school in 1873. It was originally an all women’s college, but became a co-educational institution in 2005. The college offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study.
Blue Mountain College’s campus is home to several student club and organizations, including the Baptist Student Union, Campus Kappa Kappa Iota, the Cap and Gown Honor Society, the Mississippi Association of Educators-Student Program and the Physical Education Majors Club, among others. The college also offers financial aid to its needy students.
