Overview

Bossier Parish Community College was established in 1967 and is also known as BPCC. The institution was originally a pilot program for testing the feasibility of commuter two-year colleges. The college received its present name in 1973. BPCC also houses several religious organizations, service groups and student media groups.

The BPCC athletic department is an integral part of the Student Services Organization. Its students participate in sports like basketball, baseball, soccer and softball. There are various student organizations and clubs for its students to participate in, including Alpha Eta Society, Concert Choir, Technology Club, BPCC Lions Club and Telecommunications Club.
