Briarwood College

Briarwood College is a private, co-educational residential school situated in Southington, Connecticut. The college was founded in 1966 as the Briarwood Secretarial School. It got its current name in 1979, and has a 49 acre campus at the base of Mount Southington. The college offers the students with career oriented degree programs.

Briarwood College offers bachelor's, associate's and certificate degrees in several areas of study such as criminal justice, funeral service management, fashion merchandising, paralegal and hotel & restaurant management courses.

The Briarwood College has an active Greek life consisting of Psi Beta and Phi Theta Kappa honor societies. The college also has numerous other cultural and special interest clubs such as medical club, international club and the FAME club. The student has a student government association and student ambassadors. The college also publishes the student’s yearbook and has a radio station, named Pulse.
