About the School
Brookdale Community College was established in 1967. The school is one of the largest higher education systems in New Jersey and offers satellite campuses in various locations throughout the state. The main campus provides a vast number of two-year degree programs and a large variety of degree certificates. Associate degrees can be achieved in areas such as health & medical services, technology, business, arts, applied sciences, fine arts, management, nursing, culinary arts & food service, and marketing.
Certificates are available in topics such as business, communications & media, culinary arts & food service, skilled trades, technician careers and technology. The college offers transferable courses and vocational entry opportunities. The Outreach, Business & Community Development department has a variety of non-credit certificate as well as entry-level training curriculums. The college also provides bachelor and master degrees through a school alliance program named the NJ Coastal Communiversity program. These programs are provided in partnerships with numerous New Jersey colleges and universities including Montclair State University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Student Life
Currently, the school has over 12,000 students and most of them are in-state residents. Students have access to the Bankier Library and the Donald D. Warner Student Life Center. The school's Phi Theta Kappa chapter provides students the opportunity to graduate with honors and acquire scholarships when their ready to move on to four-year universities. The International Students Services department provides support services and immigration advice. The college offers a wide assortment of activities, organizations and clubs. In addition, a large variety of athletic programs are offered.
Admissions and Financial Aid
The school has an open admissions policy which allows students over the age of 18 to enroll without a high school diploma or its equivalent. However, some of the programs may have additional requirements.
