Overview
Brooklyn Law School, also known as BLS, is located in Brooklyn, New York, United States. It was established in the year 1901 by Norman P. Heffley and William Payson Richardson. This was the first law school established on Long Island. Over 190 law courses are offered to students. Joint degree programs are awarded to BLS students in diverse fields of study including business administration, political science, library, and information science.
BLS is home to a large number of student clubs and organizations. Some of the popular ones are the Brooklyn Entertainment Law Society, Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, Corporate and Securities Law Association, Phi Delta Phi, Legal Association for Women, Phi Alpha Delta, and Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.
