Broward College

Broward College was established in the year 1959 as the Broward Community College. The college has three campuses and a number of educational centers throughout Broward County. The main campus encompasses more than 150 acres of land in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Broward College offers more than 100 academic programs in various fields of study including applied math/ math science, business administration, chemical engineering, coastal and oceanic engineering, engineering science, forensic science, and real estate.

Some of the notable alumni of Broward College are Dr. Parris N. Glendening, the former governor of Maryland; Jim Naugle, the current mayor of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Nancy Valen, the American actress; and Emmy award winning reporter Johnathan Walton
