Overview
Bryn Mawr College, also referred to as BMC, is located in Bryn Mawr in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in 1885 and James E. Rhoads was its first president. The college enrolled 36 undergraduate women and approximately 8 graduate students in its first year. BMC was the first college in the United States to offer a doctorate degree in social work. The college offers more than 36 majors and approximately 38 minors. BMC is divided into the following academic schools:

BMC has over 100 student-run clubs and organizations including the Pre-Health Club, Owl Investment Group, Students for Justice in Palestine, Amnesty International, Pre-Law Club, Asian Student Association, Self-Government Association, Association of International Students, and Episcopal Campus Ministry.
