Overview

California University of Pennsylvania is a public university located in California, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1852, and is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university enrolls more than 8,000 students annually. The main campus consists of more than 30 buildings and is spread across an area of 90 acres. Cal U also operates satellite campuses in Canonsburg and Pittsburgh.

Cal U is home to a television station known as the CUTV and a radio station named WCAL. Its official mascot is the Blaze.

Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference for major sports.
