Overview

Capital Community College, located in Hartford, Connecticut, United States, was established in the year 1992. The merging of Greater Hartford Community College, established in 1967, and Hartford State Technical College, founded in 1946, led to the creation of Capital Community College. Before the Hartford campus was established, there were two other campuses located on Flatbush Avenue and Woodland Street. Capital Community College enrolls more than 3,000 students on an annual basis. The college offers students various degree and certificate programs in a wide range of subjects including accounting, fire technology, and computer programming.

Capital Community College sponsors many student clubs and organizations. Among these are Phi Theta Kappa, Black Student Union, Martial Arts Club, Senior Renewal Club, and Latin American student Association.
