Carolinas College of Health Sciences at Charlotte, North Carolina was established in 1990 by the Carolinas Healthcare System. It has been known by its current name since 1996. It is a specialized institute offering career oriented education and training in the fields of health sciences and allied health. It offers courses in computer tomography, CPR life support, medical technology, nursing, phlebotomy and radiation therapy.
CCHS has a chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. The college also has a Student Government Association, which organizes community involvement opportunities for students. Students at CCHS can participate in the Student Nurses’ Association and the Student Life Committee as well. It also publishes a monthly student newsletter.
