Overview
Carroll University, previously known as Carroll College, is located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States. Carroll university was established in the year 1846 and claims to be the oldest existing college in Wisconsin. It gained university status in the year 2008. The university enrolls more than 3,000 students on an annual basis. Students are offered degrees and certificate programs in various subjects including accounting, finance, and marine sciences.
Students publish an on-campus newspaper called “The New Perspective” and operate a radio station called WCCX-FM. The university’s athletic department fields men’s and women’s sports teams in basketball, swimming, and indoor track. The teams are known as the Pioneers. Notable alumni of the university are Dennis Morgan, American actor; William C. R. Sheridan, Episcopal Bishop of Northern Indiana; and John Ball, American author.
