Castleton State College is located in Castleton, Vermont, United States. It was founded in the year 1787. It is the oldest college in Vermont, and the fifth oldest college in all of New England. In the United Sates, it is considered to be the 18th oldest college. The college offers degrees in numerous subjects including natural sciences, social work, education, computer information systems, and environmental science.
Castleton State College is home to a number of Greek honor societies such as Alpha Psi Omega, Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Alpha Theta, Sigma Delta Pi, Alpha Chi, and Phi Eta Sigma. Students are also members of other clubs and organizations including the Literary Club, Christian Fellowship, Reel Action Film Club, Criminal Justice Club, Reiki Plus Club, and Spanish Club.
