Catawba College

Catawba College is a private, co-educational liberal arts college, located in Salisbury, North Carolina, USA. The College was founded in 1851. Catawba College was ranked 16th by U.S. News and World Report (2007) in the category 'Best Baccalaureate Colleges' in the south. The college offers undergraduate and graduate programs in several subjects which include Athletic Training, Biology and Business Administration. In addition it also operates a summer school offering several programs. There are several special programs like the Honor's program and Study Abroad program offered by the college.

The College has an active campus life. There are several clubs and organizations in the campus operated by the students. Alpha Program, Alpha Chi, Alpha Sigma Lambda and Delphinian Society are some of the honors societies and organizations of this college. The arrowhead is the student literary magazine and The Pioneer is the student newspaper published by the students.

Housing and Meals

Catawba provides on-campus housing for 695 of its 1,262 (full-time) students (as of 2007). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 21 meals weekly.

Catawba Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. Catawba is in the South Atlantic Conference for major sports.
