Overview

Centenary College was established in 1867. It was founded by the Newark Conference of the United Methodist Church. It became a girls' preparatory school in 1910 and a Junior college for women in 1940. It finally became a master-degree-granting institution in 1995. The college sits upon more than 40 acres in Hackettstown, New Jersey, United States. The college also has satellite campuses located in Equestrian Center in Long Valley, Parsippany in New Jersey, and Metro Park in Iselin. Centenary College offers a number of degrees and certificate programs in diverse areas of study.

Some of the fraternities and sororities recognized by Centenary College are Omega Rho, Theta Epsilon Nu, Kappa Delta Epsilon, Gamma Zeta, Phi Alpha Theta, Alpha Chi, Sigma Tau Delta, and Phi Theta Kappa.

Centenary College competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. The college is also a member of the Skyline Conference. Their sports teams are known as the Cyclones.
