Overview

Central Alabama Community College is located in Alexander City, Alabama, United States. It was established on February 23, 1989. It was created by the action of the Alabama State Board of Education. The college held its first classes in 1965, in old Russell Hospital with an enrollment of more than 400 freshmen.

The college has branch campuses in Childersburg and Talladega. It awards Associate in Science, Associate in Occupational Technology, and Associate in Applied Science degrees, certificates, and many short-term certificates to students.

Central Alabama Community College has several organizations and clubs that students can join to enjoy community and social activities. The college's sports teams are nicknamed the Trojans. Students participate in baseball, volleyball, tennis, softball, and golf.
