Overview

Central Carolina Technical College is a public, two-year institute of higher education located in Sumter, South Carolina, United States. The college was set up by a local committee which felt the need to institute an "industrial training center" that would serve Sumter County. After a few name and status changes, the college was christened Central Carolina Technical College in 1992.

The college enrolls over 15,000 students every year in a wide variety of associate degrees, certificates, and diploma programs. It offers degrees in several fields of study such as industrial technology, agriculture, criminal justice technology, and engineering technology.

Central Carolina Technical College has numerous on-campus clubs and organizations. These include the Central Carolina Student Nurses' Association, Central Carolina Computer Club, Central Carolina Criminal Justice Society, and Phi Theta Kappa.
